We thought it was a great recipe and I am putting it on my blog to keep it bookmarked for future eating (and so I can now throw away the recipe card)!<\/p>\n<p>\n    <div class=\"hrecipe\">\n       <span class=\"item\">\n          <p id=\"recipeseo-title\" class=\"fn\">Broccoli, Cheese & Potato Soup<\/p>\n       <\/span><p id=\"recipeseo-rating\" class=\"review hreview-aggregate\">\n          <span class=\"rating\"><\/span>\n       <\/p><p id=\"recipeseo-ingredients\">Ingredients<\/p><ul id=\"recipeseo-ingredients-list\"><li id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-0\" class=\"ingredient\"><span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-0-amount\" class=\"amount\">2-1\/2 cups<\/span> <span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-0-name\" class=\"name\">Broccoli, chopped & steamed until crisp tender<\/span><\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-1\" class=\"ingredient\"><span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-1-amount\" class=\"amount\">1\/3 cup<\/span> <span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-1-name\" class=\"name\">Onion, chopped<\/span><\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-2\" class=\"ingredient\"><span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-2-amount\" class=\"amount\">1\/4 cup <\/span> <span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-2-name\" class=\"name\">Flour<\/span><\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-3\" class=\"ingredient\"><span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-3-amount\" class=\"amount\">4 cups<\/span> <span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-3-name\" class=\"name\">Potatoes, diced & peeled<\/span><\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-4\" class=\"ingredient\"><span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-4-amount\" class=\"amount\">3 cups<\/span> <span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-4-name\" class=\"name\">Chicken Broth<\/span><\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-5\" class=\"ingredient\"><span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-5-amount\" class=\"amount\">2 cups<\/span> <span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-5-name\" class=\"name\">Cheddar Cheese, shredded<\/span><\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-6\" class=\"ingredient\"><span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-6-amount\" class=\"amount\">2 cups<\/span> <span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-6-name\" class=\"name\">Milk<\/span><\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-7\" class=\"ingredient\"><span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-7-amount\" class=\"amount\">1\/4 tsp. <\/span> <span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-7-name\" class=\"name\">Pepper<\/span><\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-8\" class=\"ingredient\"><span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-8-amount\" class=\"amount\">1\/2 tsp.<\/span> <span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-8-name\" class=\"name\">Salt (or to taste)<\/span><\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-9\" class=\"ingredient\"><span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-9-amount\" class=\"amount\">Dash<\/span> <span id=\"recipeseo-ingredient-9-name\" class=\"name\">Paprika (or to taste)<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p id=\"recipeseo-instructions\">Cooking Directions<\/p><ol id=\"recipeseo-instructions-list\" class=\"instructions\"><li id=\"recipeseo-instruction-0\" class=\"instruction\">In large saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. \r<\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-instruction-1\" class=\"instruction\">Add flour, pepper, salt, and paprika and stir until smooth.\r<\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-instruction-2\" class=\"instruction\">Add broth, milk, and potatoes, stirring constantly until it boils and thickens.\r<\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-instruction-3\" class=\"instruction\">Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.\r<\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-instruction-4\" class=\"instruction\">Stir in cheese and cooked broccoli and cook over low until cheese is melted and soup heated through.\r<\/li><li id=\"recipeseo-instruction-5\" class=\"instruction\">Some crispy croutons may be added as a garnish as well as some chopped parsley or cilantro for a kick.<\/li><\/ol><\/div><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I made this recipe a couple of months ago, having gotten it from the newsletter for my CSA, Abundant Harvest Organics.
